DOC-ON-CALL offers you a better way to handle after-hours calls than relying on a traditional live-operator service. Calls come into the Cardinal advanced communications system and then get routed exactly the way you want. Each call is screened - once the caller provides their name and reason for the call - it goes to you. The caller information is announced so you can determine whether to take the call then or send it to voicemail to take a message.

That means you decide which calls are the ones that need your immediate attention. You no longer need to rely on an answering service operator with no medical experience to screen callers. But you also don't have to take every call that comes in. You stay in control - even while providing better care for your patients.

Easy to Use

DOC-ON-CALL also provides you with an easy way to direct calls to an on-call person based your schedule and staff. Emergency calls are fowarded directly the cell phone or other phone number of the person you designate to receive them. You can easily change the person on call simply by giving the system a different number.

Calls can also be forwarded to voicemail and a pager at the same time. That way, if you or another on-call person is unable to answer immediately, they get notified that the call has come in and they can quickly respond.

Since the Caller-ID is passed through when messaged, you can return calls directly without having to look up a number. It's as simple as pressing the # key - the number will be dialed automatically.

Efficiency for Less Cost

There's no equipment to buy or expensive maintenance agreements to pay for, saving you both money and headaches.

You always have a record of any call sent to voicemail. A copy of the voicemail is sent to your designated e-mail to support complete record-keeping. Calls can also be recorded so the entire conversation is collected. Voicemails are even stored for seven days after pick-up, just in case you want to go back to a recent message just to check it.

Secure and Passcode Protected

Cardinal Communications manages all aspects of your messaging service from a secure facility. Additionally, you set your own private passcode. The passcode means your messages stay secure and private because no one else will have access to your voicemail box without your authorization. You can change the passcode as often as you like from any touchtone telephone.
